Lunor, G. Kull AG was established in 1947 and started to develop prototypes of gas filters for civil defence shelters. Small series were manufactured until in the early 50’s the first international patents were conferred to Lunor and they began to produce after international norms and terms.
The following years Lunor has grown to one of the leading producers of shelter components. Because of the close cooperation with security officers and experts Lunor products fulfil not only the Swiss regulations, which are acknowledged as the leaders worldwide, but also the standards of numerous international institutions. The different components and their production are continually tested and monitored by Spiez Laboratory - the Swiss NBC defence establishment.
Since 1955 Lunor has set up the ventilation and filtration systems for more than 2 million shelter places.
Today – in addition to the private sector – efficient room protection is also increasingly demanded for the sensitive sectors of administration, service providers and industry, as well as for switching and control centers. Lunor protection concepts have been specially developed to counter all types of atmospheric threats. Shock-resistant NBC filter systems and ventilation plants from Lunor protect against contamination, such as from radioactive fall-out and all known chemical and biological agents.
As a specialist company for security and shelter technology with decades of experience, Lunor has an immense store of technical know-how. As the supplier of choice for blast resistant technology, Lunor products are used worldwide.
