Correction of defects according to PSK

The periodic shelter inspection (PSK) provides the cantons and municipalities with an overview of the operational readiness of the shelters. This involves checking whether the shelter is ready for use in the event of an emergency or disaster. We rectify any defects quickly and reliably. Depending on the quality of the inspection, we can draw up a cost estimate in advance or need to take a closer look at the weak points before repairing the shelter. We repair damage and defects in ventilation systems from all manufacturers and have the appropriate replacement material in stock.

Maintenance

As strong and powerful as a shelter may be, it also needs regular care and maintenance by specialists. This is the only way to detect any damage at an early stage, repair it cost-effectively and prevent structural damage to mechanical parts. We carry out periodic checks and services as well as regular maintenance work and ensure that the shelter remains operational. The whole process only takes about 15 minutes per shelter and should be carried out once a year.

Ventilation unit

Regular servicing (every four years) of the ventilation unit prevents expensive repairs or even replacement of the ventilation unit. Ageing oil leads to structural damage, which in most cases is irreparable. A service should be carried out every 4000 operating hours or every four years at the latest. We can do this for you. And everything else that has to do with the maintenance of shelters.

Rubber seals for armored doors and covers

The seals harden over the years and become brittle if they are not maintained with silicone. If the armored cover and armored door remain closed for a long time, the rubber seal becomes deformed and must be replaced.

Obligations of shelter owners

Shelters may be used for "non-civil defense purposes". However, they must be maintained and used by the owner in such a way that they can be made ready for use within days on the orders of the federal government.

Good to know: The shelters are inspected by the authorities at least every 10 years. The INFORMATION SHEET and the operating instructions for the ventilation unit serve as an aid for maintenance. If you want to be on the safe side, you can rely on our specialists once a year to ensure that the shelter remains operational.
